Director of Marketing (Full-Time)

Role Overview:
Lead Closegap's mission to become the universal mental health screener of choice for K-12 schools nationwide. Drive brand awareness and recognition through strategic marketing initiatives that establish Closegap as the leader in student mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand & Content Strategy
Lead comprehensive brand strategy development
Create compelling website copy and manage Squarespace updates
Partner with designers on website redesign and marketing assets
Write blogs about youth mental health, screening, and education
Develop and manage a content calendar
Write product marketing updates
Digital Marketing
Drive SEO strategy and implementation
Grow and manage social media presence
Set up and monitor analytics tools
Create and optimize Google Business profile
Manage email marketing campaigns
Design marketing assets using Canva or other software
Event & Thought Leadership
Manage conference exhibition strategy
Write post-conference content and insights
Organize and host webinars with industry experts
Build relationships with education thought leaders
Create presentation materials
Represent Closegap at industry events
Analytics & Performance
Implement a marketing analytics framework
Track and report on key metrics
Make data-driven marketing decisions
Optimize campaign performance
Measure brand awareness growth
Monitor competitor positioning
Media Relations & Public Affairs:
Build relationships with education and mental health journalists
Develop media kit and press strategy
Create pitch angles around student mental health trends
Position Closegap leadership for speaking opportunities
Monitor and respond to relevant policy developments
Build relationships with education policy organizations
Industry Leadership:
Represent Closegap at key education policy forums
Build partnerships with mental health organizations
Create content for education leadership publications
Develop relationships with state education departments
Position Closegap in screening policy discussions
Strategic Partnerships:
Identify and pursue co-marketing opportunities
Build relationships with complementary EdTech companies
Create partnership content strategies
Develop joint webinars and events
Build ambassador program with school leaders
Requirements:
5+ years marketing experience, preferably in education or mental healthcare
Strong writing and content creation abilities
Experience with SEO and digital marketing
Proficiency in Canva and basic design skills
Event marketing experience
Analytics and data analysis skills
Experience managing Squarespace or similar
Understanding of the K-12 education landscape

Compensation & Benefits:
$120,000 - $150,000 annual salary
Performance-based bonuses tied to growth metrics
