Let it go!

This activity is based on Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) which involves tightening and relaxing various muscle groups. Sometimes when kids and teens (and adults!) have experienced a lot of stress or adversity, they forget what it feels like for their bodies to be relaxed. This activity asks students to tense up a part of their body and then release it. They get a sense of what tension feels like, and a sense of what relaxation feels like. The goal is to gain awareness of how tension sits in your body and release it intentionally!
